🏗️ Studio Expansion Plans

Help Us Grow the Vision

BIOS Studios began with a camera, a cause, and a belief: that storytelling could build a better world. Now, with our impact growing and demand rising, we’re ready to take the next step—creating a permanent home for purpose-driven media production in Connecticut.

We’re not just expanding a studio.
We’re expanding economic opportunity, educational access, and cultural equity.

🎯 The Vision

We are developing a flagship production hub to anchor BIOS Studios in the heart of Connecticut. This facility will be a hybrid:

🎬 Film Studio – for on-set production, interviews, PSAs, and short films
💻 Post-Production Suite – for editing, animation, and voiceover
🎓 Training & Mentorship Center – for BIOS Trade School students
🤝 Community Media Hub – for nonprofits, schools, and public campaigns

📍 Proposed location: Adjacent to BIOS Homes Factory or partner-owned site (TBD)
📐 Conceptual designs and site studies in progress

📐 Facility Goals

We’re designing a modular, expandable facility that includes:

Phase 1: Production & Education Center

  • 2 sound stages (one hard-wall, one flexible black box)

  • Control room + green room

  • Editing & animation suites

  • Voiceover and podcast booth

  • Student training lab

  • Flexible workshop space for hands-on learning

Phase 2: Post-Production + Broadcast Wing

  • Full-scale post-production facility

  • VR / AR and 3D animation room

  • Screening room and micro-theater

  • Content licensing and distribution suite

👷 Future Hiring Goals

With this expansion, BIOS Studios will create 25–40 new jobs in the first 2 years:

  • 10+ Media instructors & teaching artists

  • 6 Editors / animators

  • 4–6 Videographers & sound engineers

  • 5 Admin/production coordinators

  • 10 Interns and apprentices annually

  • Facility maintenance & IT support

Priority will be given to graduates of BIOS Trade School and local residents.

🎥 Equipment & Infrastructure Needs

To power a full-service studio, we’ll acquire:

🎥 Production Gear

  • Cinema cameras (Blackmagic URSA, RED, or Sony FX series)

  • Lighting kits (LED panels, RGB, softboxes)

  • Gimbals, jibs, dollies, and drones

🎙️ Audio Equipment

  • Boom mics, lavaliers, mixers, podcast mics, soundproofing

💻 Post-Production Setup

  • High-performance editing stations

  • Color grading monitors

  • Adobe / DaVinci licenses

  • Storage servers + backup systems

🎚️ Control Room & Studio Tech

  • Multicam switchers

  • Streaming & recording hardware

  • Teleprompters & monitors

📈 Economic Projections

Our studio will create both direct and ripple effects across education, media, construction, and economic development in Connecticut.

Year 1–2 Estimates:

  • 🎬 60+ productions annually

  • 🎓 100+ students trained on-site

  • 💼 $1.8M in new wages created

  • 💰 $4–5M local economic impact through vendors, rentals, services

  • 🏛️ Qualifies for 30%+ in state tax incentives

  • 🧱 80% of build materials sourced locally
